Here's how it works
Depending on the model, Gotyu period beachwear absorbs up to 15 ml of liquid. You can wear it for up to 12 hours or change it every now and then if you feel damp. The underwear consists of 3 breathable layers:
1. THE LAYER CLOSE TO THE SKIN IMMEDIATELY CONDUCTS ANY
FLUID FROM THE BODY.
2. THE MIDDLE LAYER ABSORBS THE LIQUID.
3. THE OUTER LAYER IS WATERPROOF AND PREVENTS LEAKING

CAN I GO INTO THE WATER WITH PERIOD BEACHWEAR? HOW DOES PERIOD BEACHWEAR WORK?
Light to medium period: Yes. When you are in water, blood cannot leave your body because of the water pressure. When you get out of the water, the blood will naturally come out and flow into your swimsuit (replacing the water in the absorbent part). Blood contains iron and is therefore heavier than water, which is why it settles at the bottom of period beachwear. If you have medium to heavy menstruation, period beachwear is better suited to use as extra protection for a tampon or menstrual cup. In this case, we advise against wearing period beachwear alone while swimming.
DOES A FEELING OF HUMIDITY FORM?
The thin, multi-layer technology integrated into our underwear is designed to absorb moisture without a “nappy feeling”. Our moisture-wicking barrier prevents the feeling of humidity from forming, so you stay clean and dry. If it does feel damp, that's a very good sign that it's time to change your underwear.
IS PERIOD BEACHWEAR HYGIENIC?
Yes, the blood is safely contained within the fabric. However, if you have medium to heavy periods, we recommend using the underwear as beachwear and not as swimwear. But if you have a medium to heavy period, you should wear it as beachwear or as extra protection for a tampon or menstrual cup.
